Andrew FinchLead Pastor
Pastor Andrew E. Finch is a native of Omaha, NE. His proud parents are Jeffrey and Shirley Finch-Willis. Pastor Andrew graduated in 2001 from Roncalli Catholic High School in Omaha. He received his Bachelors of Arts in Religious Studies from the University of Nebraska-Omaha in 2016. He also has received extensive training in Mission and Evangelism. He is currently completing his Masters in Divinity at Illif School of Theology in Denver, CO. Pastor Andrew became a license Baptist preacher on September 16th, 2009 and ordained on August 15th, 2010.
During his time in ministry in the Baptist Faith, he has held various positions. Pastor Finch was the Interim Pastor, Executive Assistant to the Pastor, Next Generation Pastor, and Minister of Evangelism and Outreach.
On August 8, 2012, Bishop Scott Jones appointed Pastor Andrew as pastor of Living Hope United Methodist Church in Omaha, NE, where he has been for almost 4 years. Living Hope UMC is a mission congregation of the Missouri River District of the Great Plains Conference that focuses on ministry to the hurting, the lost, and disenfranchised in the urban community in Omaha. Throughout his time at Living Hope UMC, Pastor Andrew has advanced the church in becoming a mission congregation on mission for God’s Kingdom. Out of his own experiences growing up in the inner city of Omaha, he has created a missional feeding program for the homeless population in the City of Omaha. During his time at Living Hope, a Thanksgiving feeding program was established that provides a meal for 150 families each year. Under his leadership, Living Hope UMC has become partners with agencies throughout Omaha to help provide the basic needs of life to a population that so desperately needs assistance.
Pastor Andrew is married to Meagan Finch, a native of Farragut, Iowa. They are both avid travelers and love experiencing new cultures. Pastor Andrew is a Cornhusker fan through and through. While Pastor Andrew is rooting on the Cornhuskers, Meagan can be found shopping either online or in person. Meagan is an aficionado of Target and Ikea. Pastor Finch and Meagan have one son, John, who is 17 years old and avid soccer fan.
